Loan Periods and Late Fees
Library materials may be borrowed for the following lengths of time:
Books, magazines, children's book kits, audiobooks, music CDs, non-fiction movies (DVD, Blu-Ray or VHS), and CD-ROMS may all be borrowed for three weeks and renewed once if no one else is waiting for the item. The late fee for these items is .10 per day. Feature films (DVD, Blu-Ray or VHS) may be borrowed for seven days and may not be renewed. The late fee for feature films is $1.00 per day.
Nook Simple Touch E-Readers may be borrowed for three weeks and may not be renewed. The late fee is $5.00 per day.
Video Games may be borrowed for one week and may not be renewed. The late fee is $1.00 per day.
Museum passes are due back the same day they are borrowed unless otherwise specified. The late fee for museum passes is $5 per day.

Books, magazines, and audio/video materials borrowed from Cranston libraries may be returned to any RI public library.
Most Cranston locations have book and audio/video drops available for your convenience 24 hours per day. (The Auburn branch audio/video drop is open only when the branch is closed.)
