ONLINE RESOURCES Cranston Public Library provides free access to a number of online databases that provide reliable and authoritative information on a variety of topics. In addition to full-text magazine and newspaper articles, literary criticism, health information and full encyclopedias are also available. Recommended for school projects and in-depth research. What is a Database? A database is an organized collection of information. An electronic research database is a collection of online information taken from books, magazine articles, newspapers, academic journals, government publications and other reliable sources. The library subscribes to these online databases and library users can access them by connecting  through the library's website.
