Youth Summer Reading (Age 0-17)


Summer Reading Tracker

Record your reading online using Beanstack: https://cranstonlibrary.beanstack.org/

Create a new account, or login to the account you created last year.  (Click “sign in” to see the “forgot password” option.)

You can enter how much time you spend reading each day or use the built-in timer. You will earn digital badges and raffle tickets for each hour you read.  

Raffle prizes include a robot dog, animal origami kit, ant farm, binoculars, and an animal encyclopedia.

Record your reading starting June 21. Winners will be drawn on August 21.


Animal Scout Kits

Kits are designed for elementary age children and include all the material you need for three fun animal-themed activities.

Each kit also contains a secret code you can enter in Beanstack to earn additional badges and raffle tickets.

A new kit drops every Monday from June 28 to August 2. 

Visit https://cranstonlibrary.org/animal-scouts to request a kit for pick-up at any Cranston library. 



 

Animal Scout Badges

Turn your Animal Scout badges into buttons!  

Once you enter your secret code in Beanstack, you’ll get a form to request a button and a lanyard.  

Collect all six badges: Track, Dig, Swim, Imagine, Fly, Climb!

Read books, attend events, pick up a take-and-make kit, and share your reading with the community. Each badge earns a raffle ticket in the end of summer prize drawing.  Log your activites using Beanstack: https://cranstonlibrary.beanstack.org/.

Raffle prizes will be announced soon, featuring gift cards and prizes from local businesses.

Kits are designed for adult crafters and include all the material you need.

Each kit also contains a secret code you can enter in Beanstack to earn additional badges and raffle tickets.

A new kit drops Monday, June 21; Monday, July 12; and Monday, August 2.
