This year’s Kids Reading Across Rhode Island title is Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein!
The Kids Reading Across Rhode Island program encourages children
Reading week is sponsored by the Rhode Island State Council/International Reading Association and is celebrated by most public schools in the state during the month of April. The official dates are April 7-11, but every school is different, so contact your local school for more information. During reading week, schools promote literacy by inviting guest readers, hosting author visits, holding book fairs and book giveaways, and challenging students to read-a-thons.
Are you ready for Kindergarten? Four and five year olds are invited to attend an independent storytime that includes stories, crafts, and activities. They will have fun while learning skills such as listening, taking turns and transitioning between activities. This program is offered at the Knighstville Library on Tuesdays 1:30-2:15 PM (May 6-May 27). Registration is required. Click here to check the schedule or call 942-2504 for more information.
Send an email to the children's department! We will get back to you as soon as possible.
