The Cranston Public Library is happy to announce the appointment of Nomi Hague as the new Auburn Branch Librarian. Nomi steps into the role following the retirement of longtime branch librarian Karen McGrath, who served the library and community for 39 years.

Nomi began working at the Cranston Public Library’s Auburn branch in December 2021, when she was hired as the Youth Services Librarian. Before joining the Cranston Public Library, she served as Director of the Langworthy Public Library in Hope Valley from 2019 to 2021. She was also the Assistant Director of the Cross Mills Public Library in Charlestown from 2012 to 2019.

As I step into the role of the Auburn branch Librarian, I know that I have big shoes to fill.” Nomi said. “Karen McGrath leaves behind an impressive legacy of dedication, kindness, and superior librarianship. I am so honored and excited to be given the opportunity to follow in her footsteps and continue the work of serving the wonderful Auburn library community.”
