The Bridge is Now Available in the Cranston Public Library Digital Archive

(Cranston, RI) The Cranston Public Library is excited to announce the addition of The Bridge to the Cranston Public Library Digital Archive. The Bridge is the official newspaper of The Pawtuxet Village Association and has been in print since 1986. Through the archive, Cranston Public Library cardholders will have access to stories, images, and articles published from 1986 to 2015.

Susan Hartman, Editor of The Bridge and PVA Board Member, said,  "The Pawtuxet Village Association (PVA) is extremely grateful for this opportunity to archive our newspaper, The Bridge, with the Cranston Public Library. The partnership with CPL is important to the shared interest in preserving history and cataloging the stories and photos that record an important community in our state. Their efforts to maintain the publications in our city are invaluable for future generations to access."

Cranston Public Library Digital Archive (https://cranston.advantage-preservation.com/) is a free online archive featuring keyword-searchable local history collections. The archive includes a complete run of the Cranston Herald and historical Cranston newspapers dating back to 1885.
